In collaboration with the Classic Car Boot Sale, Birth of the Teenager showcases the recently digitised and previously unseen collection of the 59 Club Archive, documenting the rise of the biker subculture in the late 50s and 60s. Chronicling the early youth tribes, a digital exhibition will explore the youth tribes that have emerged since then, from Skins and Punks to Grime.

A new unseen exhibition documenting the birth of the teenager within British youth culture, the Museum of Youth Culture launches an immersive pop-up at Classic Car Boot Sale, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April in Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross.

A groundbreaking photographic exhibition journeys through youth culture history from 1959 to present day from the newly discovered archive of the 59 Club, a renowned motorcycle club formed in 1959 in East London through to images from the Museum of Youth Culture’s iconic youth culture photography archive showing what it was like to grow up in the UK from the Teds to Punks, Rave and Hip-Hop to Grime.
