RADICAL HAIR celebrates youth trends, creativity, and the expression of individuality through our hair! As part of the Museum's Outreach Champion programme we worked with members of Free Radical Arts and Tullie House to collect images documenting Cumbria's Youth Culture, and so far we have collected over 500 images and memories. This exhibition celebrates some of these incredible stories through the prism of hair.
RADICAL HAIR is on in the Community Gallery at Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery in Carlisle until the end of January 2023, alongside HAIR: Untold Stories exhibition.
This exhibition is part of Amplified Voices: Turning Up The Volume on Regional Youth Culture, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
